Maia Noeder, Ph.D.
Dr. Noeder is a licensed psychologist who works with individuals and families. She treats a broad range of behavioral and mental health concerns such as family conflict, anxiety, depression, ADHD, tics/Tourette Syndrome, and adjustment difficulties. She focuses on building warm, compassionate, and authentic partnerships with families. Your experiences, thoughts, and emotions matter.
Before starting her private practice, Dr. Noeder worked with medically-complex children, teenagers, young adults, and their parents for 10 years at Nemours Children’s Hospital, Delaware. Dr. Noeder has expertise in psychological interventions for common medical diagnoses (diabetes, epilepsy, headache) as well as less common medical diagnoses such as solid organ transplant and functional neurological disorders (FND, including psychogenic nonepileptic seizures/PNES). She understands the intersection of physical and mental health and helps patients adjust to medical conditions, adhere to treatment plans, and process their experiences. Your family’s mental and physical wellbeing are important.
Dr. Noeder has a B.A. in Psychological and Brain Sciences from Johns Hopkins University, an M.A. in Child Development from Tufts University, and a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Case Western Reserve University. At Nemours, she held a Clinical Associate Professor of Pediatrics academic appointment at the Sidney Kimmel Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University.
